HYKE is a Japanese fashion brand that collaborates with THE NORTH FACE, a company that specializes in quality outdoor equipment. The collection has created a fashionable, innovative and minimalist clothing line that uses neutral colors with military characteristics using outdoor materials quality.

Product features hover component

The challenge in this component was to display information of each product feature without over flowing the user. hence, each feature was marked for hovering and display.

Button Styling

Inspired by origami folding patterns of the collection items design.

Color palette

Reflects the brand’s monochromatic and unisex limited tones, by using a variation of those colors.

“Origaminator” font used in the hero image, resembels the Japanese traditional clothing folding. sub titles & text-“Encode Sans”, clean & simple.

Choosing photos of the product gallery had to integrate with the website design palette, as well as display its unique qualities.

Icons

I chose icons that describe the properties and type of outdoor fabrics.

Responsive design

In the transition to the narrow and elongated mobile screen maintaining model in full screen, especially in the hero image and product features.

Conclusions

I have learned the importance of expressing the brand and product's spirit through the various e-commerce website components, using styling, color palette, product features and appropriate photos.
